Das Asus P8P67 schrammt an einer Auszeichnung im Intel Sockel 1155 Mainboard Test knapp vorbei. Es ist weder das günstigste Sandy Bridge Mainboard noch das beste. Es bietet aber einen sehr guten Kompromiss aus beidem. Der Intel P67 Chipsatz arbeitet schnell und zuverlässig und ist zur Zeit kalr der Platzhirsch.

Die Ausstattung ist gelungen. Zwar fehlt das besondere i-Tüpfelchen, aber es werden alle wichtigen Features geboten. Auch moderne Anschlüsse wie USB 3.0 und SATA 6 Gb/s befinden sich an Board. Zu dem obligatorischen 7.1 Surround Soundchip gesellt sich ein WLAN Modul, das man nicht mehr zur Standardausstattung eines Mittelklasse-Motherboards zählen kann. Das Asus P8P67 kann hier im Test also punkten. Zwei PCIe x16 Slots sollten ebenfalls für die meisten Nutzer vollkommen ausreichen. 

Die gute Lüftersteuerung macht es sowohl Silent-Fans als auch Übertaktern leicht, ihr System perfekt zu konfigurieren. Für beide Spielarten ist das Mainboard gleichermaßen geeignet. Der Preis ist angesichts der guten Ausstattung und sehr guten Leistung keinen Cent zu teuer. Das Asus P8P67 ist ein Geheimtipp, der ein grundsolides Mainboard für eine Sockel 1155 CPU sucht.
